Stylish Interiors of This San Diego Restaurant Complemented by Transitional Commercial Wine Cellars

Beautiful terrazzo flooring, custom carpeting, and eye-catching metal, stone, and wood details give the steakhouse’s interior a modern look.

The entire restaurant is meant to create a lively and captivating atmosphere that captivates every customer’s senses, and this traditional steakhouse takes pleasure in delivering top meats and market-fresh fish.

Executive chefs have meticulously selected the steakhouse’s menu in Point Loma, San Diego. It features carefully obtained fish and meat, along with fresh produce from the farm.

At Custom Wine Cellar, our main goal was to create a wine room that complemented the restaurant’s luxurious interior. We envisioned transitional commercial wine cellars that would captivate the senses and facilitate the business’s service of wine as fresh as its food.

Distinctive Style for the Restaurant’s Transitional Commercial Wine Cellar Door

These commercial wine cellars include a tall glass door on one side and solid walls on the other three. Through to this design, customers can view the wine cellar from the outside and also enter to have a closer look at the wines.

There is ample room for everyone to move about in comfort. Our wine cellar specialists at Custom Wine Cellar used gold accents throughout the restaurant.

We custom-designed the glass wine cellar door with gold-plated knobs and framing, and we also applied gold plating to the exterior walls.

Because of the door’s weight and precise fit, you will notice a good seal when you use it. Incorporating framing to glass doors, especially large ones like this, further secures the dual-paned tempered glass with modern look.

Curating the Commercial Wine Cellars with Sophisticated Custom Wine Racks

Upon entering the transitional commercial wine cellars, guests in this restaurant are welcomed with rows of exquisitely carved, custom wine racks made of white oak that have been rustically stained.

Custom mobile ladders are attached to the racks, which are fastened from floor to ceiling and reach a height of 15 feet, allowing access to the upper rows.

With its various racking compartment designs, the cellar is elegantly built to hold about 4,000 wine bottles. While the top portions include single-deep standard 750 racks, the lower sections feature roomy crate/wine box storage for vertical bottle storage.

There are drawers and a reveal row between the top and bottom racks that showcase bottles at a 45-degree angle. The area is well-lit with LED lights concealed under a specially made light valance.

The Steakhouse’s Striking Feature: Two Wine Cellars in One

So, here’s a surprising aspect of this wine cellar project: there are actually two sections to the wine cellar in the San Diego Steakhouse: Zone 1 and Zone 2.

For wines to remain fresh, varied storage conditions are needed. Red wines, for instance, can be kept at a slightly higher temperature than white wines.

Zone 1 has a temperature of 55 degrees and is right after the main wine cellar door. The temperature in Zone 2, which houses white wines like champagnes and Sauvignon blancs, is between 40 and 45 degrees.

Custom wine racks with many racking compartments, including metal horizontal storage racks, are installed at ceiling height in both areas. This arrangement guarantees the preservation and optimal serving quality of all varieties of wine.
