Unique Closet Custom Wine Cellars: Adding a Showpiece to Elegant Homes
Designing and building wine rooms require extensive knowledge and experience. At Custom Wine Cellars San Diego, we work with experts like Vintage Cellars and Coastal Custom Wine Cellars. In their recent projects, they transformed a small space into unique closet custom wine cellars. The showstopper wine displays boast features that will amaze you!
Traditional Closet Custom Wine Cellars: Small Wine Room Packed with Unique Features
Vintage Wine Cellars, led by Gene Walder, is one of the most sought-after builders of beautiful residential wine rooms in San Diego and many areas in California. In one of their projects, their team converted a small and narrow space on the right side of the stairway in the client’s home. This wow-worthy traditional wine cellar is another proof of Vintage Cellars’ creativity and expertise in wine cellar conversion. The features incorporated into the wine cellar design made this wine room stand out!
Stylish Racking Features Ideal for San Diego Closet Custom Wine Cellars
The wine racks were tastefully designed to blend well with the existing décor of the home. The left wall consists of single-deep racking. Vintage Cellars incorporated a rectangular opening at the center. It has a tabletop that provides space for decanting and serving wines and storage for wine accessories. The top section of the opening has a stemware rack that hangs the wine glasses upside down.
You will find two levels of display rows on both sides of the opening. The display row at the lower level pitches the bottles at an angle. The horizontal display row above it holds the bottles sideward in a cascading manner. This racking is intended for magnum-sized bottles. Below the tabletop and display rows are individual wine storage racks and case storage bins at the bottom section.
Vintage Cellars installed floor-to-ceiling high-reveal wine racks on the right wall to allow the homeowners to showcase their best wines and beers within their custom wine cellar. The lattice-style racking looks elegant while allowing better circulation of air around the bottles. The wine racks were made from black walnut, creating a rustic and elegant look.
Stonewall, Secret Door, and Wine Cellar Lighting
Another inspiring feature that makes this wine room stand out from other closet custom wine cellars is the stonewall which complements the wooden wine racks. There is a secret door that blends with the stonewall. You will not notice it unless you press the tall back wall in the wine room. It hides more storage space for wine cases under the stairway. Vintage Cellars installed adjustable lights so the owners could achieve the mood they want in their wine cellar.
Glass Closet Custom Wine Cellar Enclosed in Glass
Coastal Custom Wine Cellars, led by Steve Pantalemon, is a professional builder in California. Their team offers innovative wine storage solutions for every budget. They can transform any space into a showpiece.
In one of the closet custom wine cellars they built, they created a modern wine display with a glass front near the client’s dining area. Proper planning helped them come up with a design that would meet all the aesthetic and functional requirements of the homeowners. In just about two weeks, the Coastal team finished the final design layout, with features that reflect the personality of the homeowners and satisfy their needs.
Since the owners were renovating their home at that time, the team had to make changes while the construction was ongoing. Working closely with the clients helped Coastal Custom Wine Cellars ensure everything was in place and exceeded the owners’ expectations.
The Coastal team made a few changes to the design during the wine cellar construction because the owners decided to modify their home, which affected the original plan for the wine cellar. Steve and his team made some adjustments to make sure they were on the right track in building their client’s dream home wine cellar. After six weeks, the project was done.
Stylish Wine Rack Features: Using Metal and Wood
The racking installed by Coastal Custom Wine Cellars in this home wine cellar adds a luxurious appeal to the wine room. It occupies the large back wall. The team combined metal and wooden wine racks to create an outstanding wine cellar.
Modern wine cellars are increasing in demand among homeowners. Metal wine racks are widely used for creating contemporary wine displays. The Coastal team placed VintageView metal wine racks on the left and right sides of the wall. The triple-deep metal wine racks hold the bottles horizontally, with the labels facing out.
Most parts of the house were made from white oak. To complement the traditional elements in the client’s home, Steve and his team installed wooden back panels where the metal wine racks were mounted.
Wine Cellar Lighting that Illuminates the Closet Wine Cellar with Elegance
Coastal Custom Wine Cellars installed an LED lighting system to keep the wines safe from harmful UV light and excessive heat emission. There are two recessed can lights on the ceiling, which can be adjusted to set the mood the homeowners want. The dimmer switch or control panel for the lights was installed outside the wine cellar for easy access.
